Module overview

Finance

Expense tracking and cash-basis reporting — so you always know where your money stands, without replacing your accountant.

What it does

The Finance module gives your firm a running record of money in and money out, with simple reports that answer the questions you have every day — without requiring accounting expertise.

  • Log individual expenses as they happen
  • Set up recurring expenses (rent, subscriptions) so they appear on schedule without manual entry
  • Profit & loss report showing revenue and costs for any period, on a cash basis
  • Cash-flow report to see what arrived, what went out, and the net balance
  • Export your full ledger as CSV for your accountant or bookkeeper
  • Income from paid invoices, and labour and material costs from other modules, feed in automatically

Why it matters

Knowing whether the month was profitable should not require a spreadsheet. The Finance module gives you that answer immediately, from the same data you are already entering when you log time, send invoices, and record expenses. The CSV export means your accountant gets the raw numbers without you having to prepare them manually.

How it fits in

Finance is not accounting software and not a tax-filing tool. It does not produce invoices with tax-authority validity. Income flows in from paid invoices; labour costs flow in from logged hours. Expenses are entered manually or via recurring rules. The P&L and cash-flow views are cash-basis only — they reflect what you received and what you paid, not accrual accounting. For formal financial statements or tax filing, export the CSV and give it to your accountant.
